Description of obverse and reverse
Obverse: at the top there is a relief image of the National Emblem of the Republic of Belarus. In the center on a background of a spinning wheel, the symbol of perpetual movement which crosses over into the structure of the annual rings on a slice of wood there is a stylized image of silhouettes of cuckoos and Belorussian decorative elements. The mintage year is below. In a circle the inscription reads at the top: «ÐÅÑÏÓÁ˲ÊÀ ÁÅËÀÐÓÑÜ» (Republic of Belarus), and below — “20 ÐÓÁ˨¡» (20 Roubles).
Reverse: in the centre there is a stylized image of a cuckoo, the wings of which resemble long sleeves of the woman’s clothes wave in the dance. On the bird’s silhouette you can see the Belorussian decorative elements. Under the right wing there are conditional images of the children’s figures and the ovals in the shape of the eggs which are the legend’s symbols. On the left in a circle the inscription reads: «ËÅÃÅÍÄÀ ÏÐÀ ÇßÇÞËÞ» (The Legend of the Cuckoo).
