Description of obverse and reverse
Obverse: in the centre the coin depicts the State Emblem of the Trans-Dniester Moldavian Republic (is made with gilding). Around the edge there are inscriptions: at the top - «ÏÐÈÄÍÅÑÒÐÎÂÑÊÈÉ ÐÅÑÏÓÁËÈÊÀÍÑÊÈÉ ÁÀÍÊ» (Trans-Dniester Republican Bank), and beneath – «5 ÐÓÁËÅÉ» (5 Roubles). Under the emblem is the mintage year of the coin - «2008».
Reverse: in the centre there is a close up image of the royal family (made with gilding). On the top from the left to the right there is an inscription «ÃÎÄ ÑÅÌÜÈ 2008» (The Family Year 2008).
