Description of obverse and reverse
In the bottom of the face there is “Ag 925 31,1 gr” legend meaning the coin metal and its grade, there is “500 òåңãå” legend in two lines in the center meaning the face value. Under the face value there is “2008” legend meaning the engraved year.
On the coin perimeter circumference there is “Қàçàқñòàí Ðåñïóáëèêàñû — Republic of Kazakhstan” legend in Kazakh and English. In the center of the underside there is a fragment of a picture of Sergey Kalmykov. The logotype of the National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan is under the fragment. “Ñ. Êàëìûêîâ — Àòàóû æîқ — S. Kalmykov — unnamed” legend in Kazakh and English separated with dots is on the circumference.Prominent binding is on the circumference.
