Description of obverse and reverse
Obverse: there is the Small National Emblem of Ukraine and the circular inscriptions: “ÍÀÖ²ÎÍÀËÜÍÈÉ ÁÀÍÊ ÓÊÐÀ¯ÍÈ» (National Bank of Ukraine) (above) and “ÑÒÎ ÃÐÈÂÅÍÜ» (one hundred hryvnias) (below) placed against the background of conventionalized ornament, between them the year of coin issue, designation of metal and its finenness, weight in fineness and the logotype of the Mint are indicated. In the coin center in the circle of conventionalized rays there is a cross and the semi-circular inscriptions “ÏÐÀÂÎÑËÀÂ’ß» (Orthodoxy) (above) and “²Ç ÊȪÂÀ ÏÎ ÂÑ²É ÐÓѲ» (From Kyiv all over Rus) (below).
Reverse: there is a multi-figure composition of baptism with the inscription “988 вʻ (988 YEAR) below and the semi-circular inscription “ ÕÐÅÙÅÍÍß ÊȯÂÑÜÊί ÐÓѲ» (Christianization of Kievan Rus) above.
