Description of obverse and reverse
Obverse: in the centre there is the emblem of the Bank of Russia (double-headed eagle with the spread wings), below which is the semicircular inscription “ÁÀÍÊ ÐÎÑÑÈÈ”(Bank of Russia), above it there is an inscription along the rim: “ÄÂÀÄÖÀÒÜ ÏßÒÜ ÒÛÑß× ÐÓÁËÅÉ” (Twenty-five thousand roubles), under the emblem there is an issue date ”2008“, below on the background of guilloche elements there are images of paper money and coins, on the left there is the metal’s designation, its alloy and the trade mark of the mint, on the right there is the chemically pure metal content and the index number of the coin ¹ __.
Reverse: In the upper segment center there is the Expedition of state papers manufacturing enterprises’ complex, on the right there is a river with sailing ships and the bridge, on the second plan there are outlines of the architectural panorama of St. Petersburg, on the top along the rim there is an inscription: “ÝÊÑÏÅÄÈÖÈß ÇÀÃÎÒÎÂËÅÍÈß ÃÎÑÓÄÀÐÑÒÂÅÍÍÛÕ ÁÓÌÀÔ (Expedition of state papers manufacturing), in the lower segment on the background of the guilloche elements there are images of paper money, on the bar separating the segments there is an inscription in one line: “Ó×ÐÅÆÄÅÍÀ  1818 ã.” (Established in 1818).
