Description of obverse and reverse

Obverse: the stylised symbol of the State Emblem, Vytis, under the background of flames of the incessant recommencement. It is surrounded by the inscriptions “LIETUVA”, “100 LIT”Ų and “2008”, and the mark of Lithuanian Mint arranged in a semi-circle.
Reverse: main events and phenomena of the state recorded against the background of a stylised map of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania. The whole composition is encircled by the inscription “LIETUVOS DIDЋIOJI KUNIGAIKЉTYST”Ë (The Grand Duchy of Lithuania), with a coronet of GDL duke on the top of it.
The edge of the coin bears the inscription “LIETUVOS VARDO TŰKSTANTMETIS” (The Millennium Anniversary of the Name of Lithuania).
