Description of obverse and reverse
Obverse: in the centre the coin depicts the State Emblem of the Trans-Dniester Moldavian Republic (is made with gilding). Around the edge there are inscriptions: at the top - «ÏÐÈÄÍÅÑÒÐÎÂÑÊÈÉ ÐÅÑÏÓÁËÈÊÀÍÑÊÈÉ ÁÀÍÊ» (Trans-Dniester Republican Bank), and beneath – «15 ÐÓÁËÅÉ» (15 Roubles). Under the emblem is the mintage year of the coin - «2008».
Reverse: in the centre there is a close up stylized image of the Trongonterievy elephant. Above: from the left to the right it reads: «ÇÀÏÎÂÅÄÍÈÊ «ÊÎËÊÎÒÎÂÀ ÁÀËÊÀ» (natural reserve “Kolkotov hollow”) On the right there is an inscription: «ÒÐÎÃÎÍÒÅÐÈÅÂÛÉ ÑËÎÍ» (Trongonterievy Elephant).
