Description of obverse and reverse

Obverse: in the centre there is the emblem of the Bank of Russia (double-headed eagle with the spread wings), below which is the semicircular inscription “БАНК РОССИИ”(Bank of Russia), framed with a circle of small dots and inscriptions along the rim: on the top it reads: “ДВАДЦАТЬ ПЯТЬ РУБЛЕЙ” (Twenty-five roubles), at the bottom: on the left: the metal’s designation and its alloy, in the centre: the issue date “2008“, on the right: the chemically pure metal content and the trade mark of the mint.
Reverse: On the silver disc there is a scroll with the image of the fragment of the complex of enterprises of the Expedition of state papers manufacturing, on the top on the left is a right-angled golden inset where 25 – Roubles banknote issued in 1818 is depicted, on it in the lower left corner there is the metal’s designation and its alloy : “Au 999”, on the right there is the chemically pure metal content in purity “4,66”, to the right of the inset there is the portrait of the first leader of the Expedition А. Betankur, below is the inscription : “А. БЕТАНКУР” (А. Betankur); along the rim there are inscriptions: on the top it reads: “ЭКСПЕДИЦИЯ ЗАГОТОВЛЕНИЯ ГОСУДАРСТВЕННЫХ БУМАГ” (Expedition of state papers manufacturing), at the bottom it reads: “УЧРЕЖДЕНА В 1818г.” (Established in 1818).
