Description of obverse and reverse

The obverse design bears the Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, the inscriptions “ELIZABETH II”, “AUSTRALIA” as the issuing country, and the monetary denomination.
The reverse design on the 2008 Australian Kookaburra features a kookaburra perched on a wire fence gazing at a spider’s web. The shiny design on the delicately frosted table also incorporates the 2008 year-date of issue and The Perth Mint’s traditional ‘P’ mintmark. Issued as legal tender under the Australian Currency Act 1965.
