Description of obverse and reverse
Obverse: at the top there is a relief image of the State Emblem of the Republic of Belarus, in the centre there is an image of a small bird in the palms, below the mintage year and the alloy are indicated. Around the edge there are inscriptions “Republic of Belarus” and “10 Roubles” in Belorussian.
Reverse: there is a relief image of the large white heron (it is declared the Bird of the year in Belarus in 2008). Around the edge there are inscriptions: “ÏÒÓØÊÀ ÃÎÄÀ” (The Bird of the year) and “Âß˲ÊÀß ÁÅËÀß ×ÀÏËß” (Large white heron).
