Description of obverse and reverse

Obverse: a fine effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II with the text reading “BRITISH ANTARCTIC TERRITORY 2008”.
Reverse: the official Coat Of Arms of the Territory which includes a lion representing the United Kingdom, an emperor penguin representing the Antarctic and the RRS Discovery Research Ship used by Robert Falcon Scott and Ernest Shackleton. The lion stands on grass whilst the penguin stands on ice. The wording around the coin reads “1908∙ CENTENARY OF GRANTING OF LETTERS PATENT∙ 2008”.
