Description of obverse and reverse

The obverse design bears the Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, the inscriptions “ELIZABETH II”, “AUSTRALIA” and the monetary denomination.
Reverse: the Broome coin in the Discover Australia program forms part of the Landscape Silver Series. Famous for its cultured South Sea Pearls and melting pot of cultures, the north-west tourist destination of Broome in Western Australia offers a blend of history, romance and indulgence. The reverse design, which incorporates The Perth Mint’s traditional “P” mintmark, portrays a coloured pearl shell containing four white pearls on a
beach and a lugger at sea.
Coin is issued as legal tender under the Australian Currency Act 1965.
