For the first time the contest “Coin constellation” took place in 2007. 47 commemorative and jubilee coins from Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova, Trans-Dniester Republic, Russia, Tajikistan, Ukraine, Estonia minted since 1 January till 31 December 2006.
The winners were determined in 7 major nominations, also the People’s Choice Award and the Special prize from the General Sponsor (Sberbank of Russia) were handed over.
The contest committee included the numismatics specialists from the State Hermitage, Russian Museum, State History Museum of Russia, Russian auction houses and also from the commercial banks working with the commemorative coins made of precious metals.
