We are glad to invite you to take part in the Fifth International commemorative coins contest “Coin Constellation-2011”.”.
The contest is organized by the Russian publishing house Water Mark – the publisher of the specialized magazine on coins and medals the Gold Chervonets and the organizer of the European conference on commemorative coins COINS.
During its 5-years history the “Coin Constellation” contest has won the recognition of the world numismatic community. The largest mints, national banks and the distributing companies from all over the world participate in the contest. The contest jury includes the experts of the well known museums and auction houses, representatives of the numismatic associations and specialized periodicals about coins from different countries.
Every year the contest attracts more and more professional participants of the market as well as collectors. For the first time the “Coin Constellation” contest was organized in 2007. 47 commemorative coins from the CIS and the Baltic countries took part in it. By the year 2010 the geography of the participating countries and the amount of coins submitted to the contest had increased significantly. The organizations from 24 countries that presented 209 commemorative coins to the contest became the participants of the fourth contest “Coin Constellation-2010”. Besides, more than 10 000 people participated in the internet voting to determine the winner of the People’s Choice Award.
Taking into consideration the rising interest and the significance of the contest, in 2011 on the basis of the jury members’ recommendations the fundamental changes in the conditions of the participation in the contest have been made. In particular, the new nominations have been introduced, the rules of the participation in the nominations have been changed, the procedure of the jury voting has also been changed. It will allow to make the contest more interesting and objective.
To take part in the contest you should send the below application form and the images of the coins till 15 February 2011.

We kindly ask you to draw a special attention to cl. 4.6. of the “Conditions for participation in the contest” where the terms of participation in each nomination are described.
