“Coin Constellation” is the only commemorative coins contest which is held in the territory of Russia. The organizer of the contest is the Watermark Publishing House, the founder and the publisher of the Watermark and Gold Chervonets Magazines.

National banks, mints and the distributors companies possess the right to present the coins to the contest.

The winners are defined by the Contest Committee composed of the representatives of the Russian and European museums (including the State Hermitage, State History Museum of Russia, National Museum of History of Russia, the British Museum, Vienna Museum of History and Art, Ciurlionis National Museum of Arts in Lithuania), commercial banks, numismatic societies and the mass media.

The winners are defined in the nominations:
- Unique idea solution
- Successful artistic solution
- Original technology
- Silver coin of the year
- Gold coin of the year
- Coin of the year

Also the prize “For the contribution to the development of the commemorative coins market” and the Special prize from the Organizing Committee are handed over. By the results of the voting at the website www.coinconference.com the winner of the People’s Choice Award is determined.

For the first time the “Coin Constellation” contest was carried out in 2007.
